What are the minimum specifications for Personal Tax Manager?
Minimum PC specification is as follows:
The minimum CPU speed should be 1500Mhz or above, the minimum RAM should be 512MB, the recommendation RAM should be 1GB.
DVD ROM Drive.
A minimum of 1.5GB of Hard Disk free space is required.
Network speed should be minimum of CAT5 cabling at 100 Mbps.

How do I file by internet?
Before you can start filing by internet, you must register with HMRC. They will give you a password and login details.
How can I tell which version of Personal Tax Manager I am running?
While you are running Personal Tax Manager, click Help then About to show which version is currently in use.
Is the software recognised by HM Revenue & Customs?
Yes – and our details are listed on the HMRC website.
I have a network version of Personal Tax Manager, which I have installed, but I cannot see the data. Why is this?
Check that the software has been installed into the same location (that is, drive and folder) on your computer as any previous installations.
How do I increase the number of Personal Tax Manager licences I have?

How do I receive updates from Personal Tax Manager issued throughout the year?
Any software updates throughout the year will be dispatched to you automatically. Many updates will be available to download. From the opening screen, select Help and then Check For Updates.
I want to file my tax return online ('filing-by-internet' or 'FBI') but the system won't let me.
In the opening screen, select “Home”, then “Tax Advisor”, then check the “FBI user ID” and “FBI Password” details have been completed. Then, from the main list of clients, select 'Edit Client' and tick the box to 'File by Internet'. You must do this for each individual and partnership tax-return client set up on your system.
